This trip to Iwate was the second time my son went outside of the prefecture we live. He was 8 months, and he ate baby food twice a day at this time.
Iwate prefecture is located on the northeast region of japan. Morioka Station in Iwate is is two and a half hours from Tokyo by bullet train(shinkansen).
To be honest, Iwate prefecture isn’t popular sightseeing place in Japan. Then, why did we choose Iwate for family travel with baby?
Because there is best hot spring ever!
The hot springs you should go are in Tsunagi Area, especially Hotel Taikan has amazing hot spring.
It is 100% natural spring, and it is very good for skin. I bet you’ll definitely love it.
Of course we stayed at Hotel Taikan, and it was very awesome!!
The hot spring is needless to say wonderful, but the evening meal was also great.
Luckily, this hotel is family-friendly. There are some baby and kid amenities, and baby bathing tubs and chairs. Also, you can use Family Bath, though It takes 3,500yen(31.66 USD).
They also serve baby food and kid meal.(Reservation is required)

Honestly, the hot spring and meals were pretty nice.
But this hotel is family-friendly too, and very lively place. Also, the price was reasonable.
